Community Presbyterian Church

At our 8:30 and 10:30 services, we experience a procession of the palms as we celebrate Jesus' entrance into Jerusalem to the loud praises of misunderstanding crowds. The service takes on a somber mood as we recall Christ's Passion.

Our annual Winter Resident Reception follows worship at 11:30 in Briggs Hall. Everyone is encouraged to attend as we recognize the folks who so enrich this church during the winter season. It gives us an opportunity to get to know one another better, and to say farewell as folks begin returning north.

7:30 pm in the sanctuary

We remember our Lord's Last Supper with his disciples and his command to "love one another." The service concludes with the choir performing a congregational favorite--A Service of Shadows by Lani Smith. The sanctuary is progressively darkened as the music is sung, until we are in the darkness of the tomb as the Christ candle is carried out. We leave in silence to await the resurrection morn.
