Your wedding is important to you and to us. We are delighted you are interested in holding your wedding here! Community offers inspiring locations for your wedding, including the beach which is only a block away.
Our pastor will help you craft a meaningful and personal
wedding service for your new life together.
Preparation: Call or email the church to
reserve your date as soon as you know it. Make an appointment with the
pastor about three months before your wedding. You will meet for
approximately ninety minutes. He will fill out an information sheet on
the people in your wedding, and you will receive a booklet of materials
to help you plan your wedding service. Most of the time will be spent
in informal, friendly conversation.
If needed, you may schedule a brief follow-up meeting to
finalize plans.
You will be asked to meet with the church organist to plan
your music. This is often done after a Sunday worship service, and
takes about fifteen minutes
A rehearsal will be scheduled on the Thursday or Friday
evening before your wedding, usually at 6:30 p.m. and lasting one hour
Facilities: Two facilities are available
for your wedding:
• Fox Chapel - Seats up to 100 people
• Sanctuary - Seats up to 500 people
Rooms for use before the wedding are provided for the bride
and her attendants and for the groom and his groomsmen.
Fees: The fee for a wedding in Fox
Chapel is $1,000. For a wedding in the Sanctuary it is $1,100. This
includes the use of the church, custodial services, and honoraria for
the organist and the minister. The fee is due thirty days before the
wedding service date. While cash will never be refused, we suggest you
pay by a check made to Community Presbyterian Church.
