An all time favorite trip of Prime Timers since we started doing it in 2000. One of the best trip values around. We are joining with the Newbies group from Century Village. Reservations are going fast. Deadline to turn in yours is December 1, 2006.
A luxury coach picks us up at the church parking lot (A1A) at 8:30 am. Price is $27.00 per person for this fun and exciting day. (We will be home by 3:30 or 4).
Invite your friends and neighbors and join us for a tour of the Sem Chi Rice Mill in Belle Glade where we will see rice being processed from field to the finished product.
After that we will board the bus for a 1/2 hour trip to the Okeelanta packaging and distribution center where the sugar is packaged. We will learn about the environmental and agricultural aspects of the sugar industry.
After the tours we will have a delicious lunch at the beautiful Hacienda, where we will enjoy arroz con pollo (chicken and yellow rice), Cuban bread, salad, sweet plantains, beverages, Cuban coffee and flan for dessert.
