Exciting retirement choices are offered at Westminster Retirement Communities. Do you know about Presbyterian Retirement Communities in Florida? The family of Westminister Retirement Communities (“WRC”) consists of 18 communities serving more than 5,200 residents throughout Florida. Sponsored by a church related not-for-profit organization, which is committed to providing services for older adults and persons with special needs, Westminister Retirement Communities offer secure, comfortable and convenient continuing care backed by top accreditation honors from Accreditation Continuing Care Commission since 1988.
The continuing care communities, most of which boast
waterfront
acreage, natural semi-tropical settings or wooded preserves, offer a
variety of residences, including high rise towers, villas, homes and
duplexes. These communities are located in Tallahassee, Orlando,
Bradenton, Winter Park, St. Petersburg and Jacksonville.
WRC also includes several rental retirement communities
whose
mission and ministry are geared towards lower income seniors. Operated
jointly with HUD, these communities are located in Jacksonville, Ft.
Lauderdale, Ft. Walton Beach, Orlando, Pensacola and Tallahassee and
also offer a variety of residences in beautiful surroundings.
As a means of honoring those who have served so faithfully,
WRC
recently created a grant program to benefit retired clergy,
missionaries and their spouses. All of the rental retirement
communities are participating in this program and will help care for
retired clergy and missionaries who have very low income.
WRC mission statement is more than a fixture. It defines the
organization and gives direction in planning and use of resources. It
states:
We are a church related, not for profit
Community service organization dedicated
And committed to providing services for older adults
And persons with special needs
By creating and administering excellent
Residential and health care facilities.
We are committed to a program of stewardship which
Recognizes the responsibility to use our resources well.
We believe in and are committed to honoring each person’s
dignity, rights, self-respect and independence.
