...our director of music, on Sunday, September 9. He has accepted a full-time position as director of music at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Middleton, Wisconsin, near Madison.
Phil Simmons (in the pulpit), cochair of the worship and music committee, presented Alex with a love gift from the congregation as "a token of our respect for Alex and the music he has blessed us with."
Phil commented: "Alex has led our music program for three years, and I want to offer him our thanks. We have done wonderful music during that time, including cantatas enjoyed by all. St. Luke’s is getting a talented musician and we are poorer for his leaving. Nonetheless, we wish him great success in his new position."
Pastor Dalton added, "I wish Alex all the best in his new position. We shall miss him, his wonderful spirit in leading our music, and his exuberant piano playing."
