Join
us in Briggs Hall at 6:00 pm for a simple
(but delicious) meal of soup and accompaniments. All
very informal.
Following the meal, we will go to the sanctuary for a Lenten
worship service of reflection and renewal, led by Pastor Dalton. The
service is 7:00 to 7:30 pm. The service concludes with the imposition
of ashes for those who would like them.
You’re cordially invited to attend either or both. Nursery
care is provided for both meal and service.
Purchase meal tickets at information booth or at
door
Tickets are $6.00 for adults with no charge for children
under 12.
They may be purchased following both services on February 4, 11, and
18, or from the church office. We appreciate advance ticket purchases
to better prepare; however, we realize that isn’t always possible, so a
few may be purchased at the dinner.
We’re planning an evening of
• music
and message to inspire,
• beauty
to admire,
• food
to appreciate,
• and
all in the world’s best company!
Please plan to join us.
Ash Wednesday begins Lent
Lent is the 40 days (excluding Sundays) that precede the
celebration of Easter. The color of the Lenten Season is purple to
signify repentance, to “change direction.” It’s also a time to reflect
on our call to servanthood, and to exercise spiritual disciplines such
as prayer, sacrifice, and meditation.
